Still not so fine. For example msi from https://www.cybrus.ru/ru/download.html fails with error. Other example is cad viwer from Ascon (https://kompas.ru/kompas-3d-viewer/download/). Installing from msi or exe is same error (translated as unsupported operation system). As I remember I never had problems with any installers at windows 7.

Barb, is name of this topic about uncnown version of windows or sandboxie? I not need software I write about to install sandboxed. I'm talking about your approach: we make new version and we are fix install problem. I just pick 3 random installers and 2 of them fails. You do nothig! Is developers test something before give a product to users??? Its so hard to make script with 30-40 unnatended installs and test before production?

Re: 5.27 Beta Available USE THIS FOR WINDOWS 10 1809 [Latest version 5.27.2]
Hi danicx,
Thank you for your feedback. We have been, as covered in this thread, working on fixes for issues that started with Windows 10 1809. One of the main challenges we experienced was the fact that Windows version 1809 was pulled out from the updates , due to being broken. So we were behind from the beginning (making the testing process slightly complicated, if not impossible at times). We did, however, test using Windows Insider (the closest thing), yet, there were more changes after the release.
Regarding the testing itself, it has been the same for a while (and has been working for the most part). You probably want to consider that there is no way to test all programs supported within Windows 7 to 10 . So, we need our users to provide the info from the guidelines in order for us to set up a virtual environment and test what may be happening with their particular programs. We know that this build allows to install some programs (which is not something we guarantee will work, to begin with) , as we tested Firefox, 7zip, and some other random applications that were listed by customers (more examples here viewtopic.php?f=11&t=26160 ).
Moreover, the currently supported applications/issues are listed here: (yet, we try our best to keep up with most requests):
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=24980
I hope this clarifies the situation a bit. And, if you wish for us to test your specific scenario, do not hesitate to provide all the info from the guidelines so that I can give them a go.
Regards,
Barb.-

Of course, we cant test all. (and 30-40 too much, ok). But if you test installers just take more comlex and more profeesional samples which size is more 1mb (like 7-zip). (and nobody realy dont need sandbox 7-zip becouse its must-have program in win). For quick find and download its easy use site like softpedia. Scroll and pick few installers witch more 100 mb. For example this fails too:
https://www.softpedia.com/get/Office-to ... onal.shtml
https://www.softpedia.com/get/Science-C ... View.shtml
P.S. I took my old offline notebook with w 10 1803 and sb 5.25.2 and all this installs was done. (some errors was in TrueView, but it's "right" errors). So what is option for users to have stability? To stay at previous version of win and sandboxie?

I try to disable both the ESET and the HMPA as best I can before installing and running SBIE, doesn't seem to help. Looks more like my Win was on the Fast ring for too long. Any help would be appreciated.SBIE1222 Error with security token: [C00000BB / 35]

Hi dash,
The latest fast ring tested is listed in the first page:
3) Tested OK on Fast Ring versions up to 18262
Anything above that will most likely cause problems.
Regards,
Barb.-

Cannot install Java, NOT fixed in beta 5.27.2, read it before you cancel it
I was asked me to look into following posts:
1) viewtopic.php?f=66&t=26117
2) viewtopic.php?f=11&t=26160
However, my problem still exists and both posters are locked and cannot reply!!
The Windows version number? Windows 10 64bit, 1809
Sandboxie version number. SBIE v5.27.2 beta
Does the issue occur in a new Sandbox with Default settings? Yes
NAME & Version/build numbers of any applications involved? Java SE Runtime Environment 8u191 (jre-8u191-windows-x64.exe)
Are you running antivirus/anti-malware software? Windows Defender
What are the exact steps to reproduce the issue? Try and run jre-8u191-windows-x64.exe installer sandboxed, it errors with "Java fails with error code 1603"

Hi foraminifera,
I asked you 3 times to please create the post in the beta section. For your convenience, I have moved it here for you.
I have also made you aware that we know there are several installation issues, including java:
viewtopic.php?f=11&t=26209
Please, see the above posts for more info on that. There are different issues with installations occurring still.

Re: 5.27 Beta Available USE THIS FOR WINDOWS 10 1809 [Latest version 5.27.2]
Hello,
I hope I'm post this correctly.
I have updated Sandboxie to 5.27.2 because Windows 10 updated to 64bit, 1809
I cannot get libreoffice portable 6.1 (and 6.0) to run. It just seems to add unending soffice.exe into Sandboxie. Although it work fine outside of Sandboxie.
Tried it on 2 PC's. One desktop running Comdo Internet Security and a laptop running Windows Defender.
Thanks,
Ed.
