sanboxiecrypto thrashes disk

Post by jg4545 » Tue Aug 25, 2015 3:29 pm

Hi,

I'm using the latest version of sandboxie and what really annoys me about this program is that
whenever I start it the hard disk goes into a frenzy even though I only have four tabs open in chrome.
I then discovered that sandboxiecrypto is writing to windows/system32/catroot.
Why does this disk thrashing happen every time I start sandboxie?

Thanks for any help.

This service manages / stores in the sandbox any digital certificates / catalog information that was installed by other programs running in the same sandbox. I would empty your sandbox as step #1.

Tried that, and all is quiet.
Will have to do this more often.
The reason I don't clean out the sandbox regularly is that I don't want to loose all the cookies.

Thanks

jg4545, if you like, you can delete the sandbox and save cookies out of the sandbox at the same time. Look in Sandbox settings>Applications>Web browser, under Firefox, IE, etc, you ll see the option for allowing direct access to cookies.
