Loading / Importing Registry Hive from different machine than Host

Post by qqfp » Wed Nov 07, 2018 3:53 pm

I'm trying to prevent some kind of fingerprinting here rather than to prevent changes from the system.
I tried to figure out how i can load a different Registry hive into a sandbox, but i don't quite understand the details of the files in a sandbox folder.

I tried to *-out all registry reads and and enable step by step essentials as needed directly, but apparently the *-write takes precedence similar to the block restriction.

Anyway, I have a vanilla registry which I would like to use on an already fingerprinted machine. But when i put the files into the respective sandbox folder it doesn't seem to match because I seem to miss some configuration detail.

Thanks for any pointers.

Hi qqfp,

This covers how the Sandboxie files work:

This entry is related to a feature that allows to hide the registry:
