Problems with Sandboxie

Post by CHARSI_1 » Thu Jan 31, 2019 4:32 am

• Windows 7 64bit
• Tried a lot of Sandboxie versions, from 3.76 to the newest beta, which actually worked the best like till 2 weeks ago.
• Yes, it does occur in a new Sandbox with Default settings
• Diablo II game
• Avast Premier & Avast Cleanup Premium & CCleaner
• What are the exact steps to reproduce the issue?

1) I run Diablo II sandboxed.
2) When I tried to log on the Internet, it gives me various problems. Mostly it's something about Immediate Recovery
3) All works fine up to like 3-4 minutes, then I can't connect the Internet anymore - getting messages that Battle.net is unable to recognize my Diablo II version.
4) Getting problems like:
• Immediate Recovery problem
• SBIE2203 Failed to communicate with Sandboxie Service: *GUIPROXY_0000 (don't remember the number) - game.exe
• Also often: SBIE2331 Service start failed

Help me please!

Hello CHARSI_1

Unfortunately, this is out of support's scope:
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=24980

Here are additional posts regarding diablo:
search.php?keywords=diablo

Ideas:
1 - Test to see if the issue happens outside Sandboxie.
2 - Since you mentioned battlenet, please review these threads for additional information:
search.php?keywords=battle.net
search.php?keywords=battlenet
3 - Try using Resource Access monitor to see if you can determine what needs to be opened.
https://www.sandboxie.com/ResourceAccessMonitor
4 - I know you mentioned the issue started recently, but might as well review these:
search.php?keywords=starcraft
5 - Reach out to the game support section to see if they are blocking Sandboxie (many games do).
6 - This may fail right away, but you may want to try installing the game inside Sandboxie, and/or copying the host installation to the Sandbox. Sometimes that can help (keep in mind not all programs can be installed inside the sandbox - drivers and services will not install in Sandboxie).

Regards,
Barb.-
