Civilization VI - SBIE2204 Cannot start sandboxed service RpcSs (1121)

Post by Alonso » Sun Oct 14, 2018 5:13 pm

I'm running the game Civilization VI sandboxed, and every time I start it I receive this error message: SBIE2204 Cannot start sandboxed service RpcSs (1121) twice. I don't know if it affects the game in any way, but I'd like to know what the problem is because I think I received the same message in the past when running other programs.

Windows 10 Home 64 bits
SBIE v5.26
It happens in a new sandbox with default settings.
Antivirus: Windows Defender.

Hi Alonso,

Please see this entry regarding SBIE2204 :
https://www.sandboxie.com/SBIE2204

If the game works fine, then go ahead and select "Hide" when the message appears (this will keep it from popping up all the time).
There are several threads reporting different issues with Civ:
search.php?keywords=Civilization+

Since you mentioned "other programs". Were those games as well? Perhaps a video card driver, setting or program may be triggering it? Try updating your drivers, disabling features, etc...

If you want to further investigate, you can use Resource Access Monitor, and try opening IPC paths as needed:
https://www.sandboxie.com/ResourceAccessMonitor ---> This will show you what is running in the Sandbox when you launch your game.
https://www.sandboxie.com/ResourceAccessSettings ---> This entry shows the current options to allow paths to be fully accessible (or fully blocked) in the Sandbox.

Regards,
Barb.-

Since the game seems to behave properly, it doesn't look like there's a need to investigate further, so I just chose "Hide". Thank you for your feedback.
