Post by jonforum » Tue Jun 26, 2018 12:08 am

hi , when i use the last nwjs in sandboxie, nwjs doesn't start.
i get this log error.

Code: Select all

[0625/233523.307:ERROR:http_transport_win.cc(175)] WinHttpCrackUrl: L’URL n’utilise pas un protocole reconnu (0x2ee6)
Image

if i run nwjs out sandboxie , it work fine.

you can download the sdk here
https://nwjs.io/downloads/
thanks

EDIT:
AFTER MORE TEST

if you try
https://dl.nwjs.io/v0.30.5/
it work
but not this one
https://dl.nwjs.io/v0.31.0/

so the issue are from those change maybe ?
0.31.0 / 05-30-2018
  • Update Chromium to 67.0.3396.62
Add nw.App.startPath to query the directory where the app starts. (#648)

Hello jonforum,

I tested this on Windows 10 x64 + Sbie latest beta (5.25.4) and I was able to see part of this behavior (nothing happens when launching nw.exe inside the Sandbox, the processes show up, but there is no program (and no error messages)).

I will make the devs aware and update this thread if they have any updates.

Regards,
Barb.-

Hello jonforum,

Try Curt's steps (worked for me): (ignore the Opera -no-sandbox portion)

Hello jonforum ,

Chromium 67 issues were addressed with the last release of Sbie 5.26
Please download the latest version --> https://www.sandboxie.com/DownloadSandboxie
Then, create a new Sandbox with default settings (Sandbox--> Create new Sandbox---> give it a name, ensure the bottom dropdown to copy settings is set to "none" )
Download your program to that Sandbox and re-test.

Regards,
Barb.-
