Am I the only one that thinks it's a bad idea to post links to viruses and to email a virus to someone you don't know? I think this thread should be erased. You guys obviously know what you are doing, but not everyone that visits this site does. I would never email that file to anyone without there...

First i wasn't sure if i should put this topic up or not, but i think most users here are familiar enough with sandboxie and know how to handle dangerous software. Also i trust sandboxie to the fullest. Maybe it's a nice idea to start dumping dangerous software and links to malicious sites in this ...

Hi All My last test was with a simulator. This time I tested in a VM with a real Trojan Killdisk.x Man this thing is really nasty, totally trashes your hard drive. Even doing a restore was challenging. I ran it sandboxed with no security software, and Sandboxie contained it perfectly. Impressive. Pete

Gave Sandboxie a trial by fire last night. Downloaded DFK - Threat Simulator by Morgud. Ran it on my VM machine. First pass I disabled all security software, and ran it. I saw on another security forum where someone downloaded a very nasty piece of malware (DFK - Threat Simulator by Morgud) and was totally protected by Sandboxie. Do either of you have any idea how many different pieces of malware that sandboxie has been tested against? Even a rough ballpark figure?...
