Re: 5.25 Beta Available (Latest version 5.25.2)

I just want to report, in my personal case, after upgrading to W10 1803 17134.1 (last night), I am not getting any Sandboxie error or message. All I do sandboxed is working well. as far as I can tell, Sandboxie 5.25.2 is compatible with the early version of 1803 (W10 64bits).

I presume I should do this??
Hi jp, no, you should not run CCleaner sandboxed. Thats not the type of program you want to run sandboxed. The purpose for using CCleaner is to delete files in the real system, for that you need to run it out of the sandbox. There is no reason to run it sandboxed.

Re: Quick Recover Message At Exit

Bo, I think I found the solution. There was thread from a few years ago about this issue, added the wildcards for the entire Firefox group, seems to work. Creeping up on 70, still running my business, takes me longer to think through things, getting crankier. :) I'll keep you posted... Thank you, a...

Re: Quick Recover Message At Exit

Windycty, perhaps you should uninstall Sandboxie and reinstall. Dont save settings, you want to get rid of old settings. Run the installer and select Uninstall, and reinstall afterward. Do that if you already tested using a new sandbox with default settings. You could also copy and paste here your S...

Re: 5.25 Beta Available

Just curious if startup for SBIE can be changed to allow the option of disabling sandboxieBITS.exe without error messages for those who don't need this process running? I dont know about disabling sandboxieBITS.exe but if the program you are getting bits messages when you run it, runs fine when you...

Re: Quick Recover Message At Exit

How can I save my existing settings to use when I build a new sandbox? Windy, for testing the new sandbox, you ll probably want to test using the new sandbox with default settings. If some setting is messing things up in the old sandbox for you, and you copy settings when you create the new sandbox...

Re: Quick Recover Message At Exit

My friend from Chicago, I hope you are doing well. Since you have Immediate recovery ticked in Sandbox settings, it is normal for you to get prompted to recover immediately after downloads have finished downloading but you shouldn't be getting the Quick recovery window when you close and exit the br...

Re: How to set Sandboxie to prevent Chrome to migrate all bookmarks and settings in the Sandbox?

Palemoon, you need to create a sandboxed shortcut to run Chrome that you installed in the sandbox. I dont use Chrome, have never installed it in my system, so I am not familar with it but I ll tell you what works for Firefox. I am pretty sure it should work the same with Chrome. Create the shortcut ...

Re: How to set Sandboxie to prevent Chrome to migrate all bookmarks and settings in the Sandbox?

You need to hide the files inside your current profile. Go to Sandbox settings>Resource access>File access>Write Only access, Click Add program, add chrome.exe. Click Add, navigate to your current Chrome profile and select it. That makes the Profile folder look empty to the installer so it creates n...

Re: Are my assumptions correct with Sandboxie?

You are welcome, BC. Here are a couple of ideas for you to keep in mind when installing programs in a sandbox. One, for better isolation, separate programs from each other by creating dedicated sandboxes for different programs. Two, when you install programs in a sandbox that don't require internet ...
