Re: Sandboxie crashing. Error SBIE2303 & SBIE2224

(The typo in Bo's response should be obvious to the Sandboxie crew since November has not yet arrived. However, to be sure, the actual date is April 11, 2018.) Hi ExpertNovice, the date for file ncryptprov.dll in my computer is also April 11, 2018. The date format my computer uses (as suggested by ...

Re: Firefox crashed couldn't open my usb html file

Actually I don''t know how to set up sbie with default. Default for me meant just de-selecting 'allow direct access to firefox bookmarks and history database' and 'allow direct access to firefox phishing database'. Since I don't recall adjusting sbie from default setting beyond that. When you have ...

Re: 5.25 Beta Available (Latest version 5.25.4)

Hi Henry, I updated last night to 17134.81, I never seen that message, before or after the update. I dont know if it means anything but I am using an Administrator account. For my knowledge, when does Sandboxie issue that message for you?

Re: 5.25 Beta Available (Latest version 5.25.4)

Hey Developers, I did a virus scan of this beta version 5.25.4 on virustotal.com and it found a trojan in it. Why is there a trojan in your file? Are you looking to spy on people or something? We are starting to loose trust in your software because of that now. HiTechLover, its been like that forev...

Re: Opera and Firefox - SBIE2205 "Service not Available: CreateDesktop" error.

Radovan, to solve your issues you need to install beta 5.25.4, that fixes the Firefox CreateDesktop error. Get the installer from link below, and read change log. https://forums.sandboxie.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=65&t=25684#p133187 To fix the blank tab problem in Opera you need to add --no-sandbox...

Re: 5.25 Beta Available (Latest version 5.25.4)

I can confirm, the fix works. I disable Multiprocess and set my security.sandbox.content.level to 0. But I just tested 5.25.4 by running the Firefox profile manager sandboxed to create a new Firefox profile. Now, you can, before this version, it couldn't be done. I had tried creating a new Firefox p...

Re: Firefox addons

Pantau, extensions usually save data in their own file. Its not hard to figure out the specific file in which they save data. Is safer to allow access to the specific file than the entire profile folder or folders. I only use 2 extensions in Firefox. There are good reasons to be able to save data ou...

FYI, I just installed the 5.25.2 beta version, but many web pages will will not open without using the -no-sandbox flag.
Exactly, you need the -no-sandbox workaround for all pages to open properly.

Re: Clear up this info on where the downloaded files are stored

Hi Tony, To clear up info on files you recover, Click View>Recovery log, click Remove all folders from the list. If your scanner detected a file in the sandbox that you already recovered and deleted, then perhaps there is some sort of incompatibility between the scanner and SBIE. Sandboxie doesn't m...

Re: How to save passwords in Epic sandboxed:

Hi Lode, I don't use Epic and I am not familiar with Chrome but I looked around and I believe Epic saves passwords in file "Login Data". You should be able to find this file inside your Epic Privacy Browse folder in AppData. You need to allow Direct file access to this file, or, copy and paste %Loca...

Re: Beware of keyloggers while banking within Sandboxie

Having a clean computer before I start is obviously practical - but impracticable. MalwareBytes takes 1 hour, Windows Defender takes 3 hours. So the combined time is just over 3 hours. For me, one of the important purposes for using Sandboxie is to keep my computer from getting infected. It should ...
