OK, thank you all for your replies. Last thing: Where do I remove and add back again those compatibility settings? I am totally new to SBIE and don't really know where those settings are. I guess I still need to read through the tutorial and FAQs. :) For all sandboxes: SBIE Control>Configure>Softwa...

Hi John, if you apply software compatibility and you like to revert later, it can be done by clicking remove and OK. When you apply Software compatibility in the window in the picture, it applies to all sandboxes but if you prefer it can also be done only on the ones that you want to. To do so, navi...

It is possible that you have "hidden" messages from being displayed.
You can turn that back by clicking on "Forget hidden messages".

Sandboxie control>Configure>Forget hidden messages

Sandboxie doesn't detect presence of viruses right? How do I deem the software as safe to install on Windows then? Knowing how to do that its really the key to avoid getting infected when using Sandboxie without a real time antivirus but since you just started using Sandboxie, you should use a real...

Yes, I understand it is a lifetime license (with no tech support) but $40 is a bit much when you consider that this program is limited to one function. In contrast Outpost Firewall Pro lifetime cost $70, and they offered promotions for $30, and that's an app that you interact with at all times. San...

Look at the bottom part of the explanation for the messages, it gives a clue on what might be causing your problem and how you might solve it.

If I want to force a folder or program should I set it so in the DefaultBox or in all sandboxes I have? You don't want to open or force all programs into one sandbox. For better isolation, separate programs by creating new sandboxes and force them to open in their own sandbox. Afterward, restrict t...

Bellzemos making Windows Media Player a forced program takes care of that. Force WMP and the player will open sandboxed in its selected sandbox instead of the forced folder sandbox.

If you are using a restricted sandbox and you are getting SBIE message 1308, add Silverlight to your Start/Run access list. If you are also getting message 1307, also allow Silverlight to have Internet access. If you are not using a restricted sandbox, create a new sandbox, leave default settings an...

If you don't want to get that message again, go to the Start/Run access window in settings and uncheck "issue message 1308 when access is denied". I prefer to leave it checked, it does not annoy me to do so since I rarely get a message. I never gotten a message for rundll32.exe but I know other peop...
