Hi HM, if you install a program in a sandbox and set Sandboxie not to delete the contents, the program will always open in that sandbox. You can open the program by going to: All programs>Sandboxie>Sandboxie Start Menu> Sandbox> Programs>Run your program. You can also create a shortcut by searching ...

Re: Are there any other programs comparable to Sandboxie?

SB is a great concept and I'm glad I discovered it but it's a little over my head, so it might be nice to try another comparable program. Thanks in advance :) Hi Jen, I think discovering SBIE is the best thing that ever happen to me with respect to computers. Just give it a little time. Don't get d...

On my Firefox sandbox, only FF can connect to the internet and even though I only allow a couple of programs to start and run, my surfing is not disturbed and yours should not neither. Enabling restrictions will make your surfing safer and will be comfortable if you allow as little as possible but a...

Re: Is it good enough using only Sandboxie for web browser?

Just curious. If I just set Sandboxie in manual start and only uses it to sanboxed my browser when surfing, do you think it would be good enough to protect me from cyberspace infections...along with my antivirus and firewall? For browsing I use a restricted sandbox where only Firefox, Foxit and Plu...

Re: Any recommended settings for newbies?

Just interested to know what suggestions you can give for making my Sandboxie free to have a more tighter protection when surfing the net. That is without making my system sluggish, or affecting other programs, or slowing down net speed. Tnx... Use the restrictions suggested by bs1 but befor...

Probably, you should be fine, by not updating, if nothing changes or gets added to your system but you got to be better off and safer when using Sandboxies latest version and updating Windows.

My NoScript, Firefox and Sandboxie are working very well together. Its been about 8 months since the last time my Firefox sandbox would not delete. For me, things between FF and SBIE could not be any better. AaLF, my sandboxes always close fast, never delays. In my opinion, that's because I don't us...

Hey max, maybe we cant have the whole system running in a sandbox but we can make every application that we want to run sandboxed, do so by using the forced programs feature. This thing has never been a problem for me as I have never seen anything, inside a forced folder, running unsandboxed once a workaround is implemented. Maybe it is because of how I work around the issue. I use the sandboxed Explorer for JPEGs and by forcing WMP and 7Zip, they open sandboxed in their...

Downloading from the developers site is the wise thing to do, despite whats being said about saving bandwith.
