Re: Must terminate All programs to restart Firefox

Is there a configuration setting that allows starting Firefox more than once. There are two distinct but, probably, related issues. 1. A second copy can't be started. Workaround, open a new tab and drag it to a new window. 2. After closing Firefox. Firefox can't be restarted. Workaround, execute "T...

Only a reboot freed up whatever was hooking the folder.
Then, perhaps, another scanner, a real time scanner was doing its thing and had a lock on files.

Re: How can I downgrade registered Sanboxie

What version of W10 are you using? If you are using Windows 10 Version 10.0.16299, you could revert to SBIE 5.26. Running over the top means, run the installer as you normally would (to downgrade or upgrade), and in the case of Sandboxie, choose the "Overwrite" option. No need to uninstall, just run...

Re: How can I downgrade registered Sanboxie

Hi: Since I haven't been able to get an answer to my question at https://forums.sandboxie.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=26460 , I would like to downgrade to the version before 5.28 (I don't know what that was). Can someone tell me how I can revert to the previous version? Thank you, To downgrade,...

thank you for the reply but i don't like to use brand new Sandbox Windows 10 built in.
I doubt any Sandboxie user would like the W10 sandbox over Sandboxie. :)

Re: Cryptojacking

Thank you again! For what it's worth, I had "installed it", so I thought. After reading your post, I went to check & found that Chrome didn't install it (not sure it's because I was using a Sandboxed Chrome at the time or if Google prevented it. In any event, it's not installed. Do you know if ther...

Re: Cryptojacking

I also just searched for & added "NoScript Suite Lite" (for Chrome, since that's what I use), so I appreciate that suggestion also. Wait, that's not the extension I recommended. Be careful. There is No NoScript for Chrome. NoScript only works in Firefox and browsers like Firefox. Look here, this is...

Re: Sandboxie

In the future please do not stop developing because i really love Sandboxie Hi f23948. I also want Sandboxies development to continue for many years to come, not only because i love it but also because I am addicted. I am a Sandboxie junkie :D . I think the new sandbox in Windows is a good thing fo...

Re: Cryptojacking

I think the best way Sandboxie can help regarding Cryptojacking is to delete the sandbox constantly. My everyday sandbox is set to delete on closing. If you like to stop worrying from malware that uses Java script to infect people, start using script blockers like NoScript for Firefox. Thats what I ...

Hi TyeBox, I dont completely understand your post, but if you are trying to scan the Sandbox folder with programs like PCHunter or Gmer, thats not always going to work. Some scanners cant scan properly within the sandbox folder. Perhaps thats the case here.

Re: Private sandbox per program

Well, this is pretty different than what I'm looking for, because: A. I don't want the sandbox to be cleared when closing the sandboxed program. The only time I want the sandbox to be cleared is when I decide I want to remove this program from my computer. As Sandboxie works as is right now, you ca...

Re: Install Adobe Reader in sandbox

Some programs cant be installed sandboxed. I haven't used Adobe reader in many years. More than likely, Adobe is too complicated to be able to be installed sandboxed. Simpler PDF readers like Foxit install easy in the sandbox. If I was using Adobe reader, I wouldn't feel is a problem or be worried a...

Re: Private sandbox per program

We already have sort of what you want. You can run or install programs in their own sandbox. And set the sandbox according to the program you are going to run in it (Forced programs). Also, set the sandbox to delete on closing of the sandboxed program, that way it would be like new every time you ru...

Thanks, its a possible workaround. Though, there are a couple of files it says I can't copy, because they are being used by sandboxie services.
Immediately after installing the program, you terminate all programs running in the sandbox, and then you make the copy of the folder.
