Re: Problem running firefox even though it's on the start/ru

Also, if you happen to have Firefox installed inside of the sandbox, it cannot run with that Restriction.
firefox.exe needs to be located outside of the sandbox, in order to use that Restriction setting.

Re: Product activation failed

I allow connections to IP 67.227.172.122 in both firewall tests. A site named LIQUIDWEB has that registered address. I wonder if they have anything to do with Sandboxieregistrations? NetRange: 67.227.128.0 - 67.227.255.255 CIDR: 67.227.128.0/17 NetName: LIQUIDWEB NetHandle: NET-67-227-128-0-1 Paren...

Full Access to C: and D: for sandboxed programs ?
For all programs, or just specific programs?
Why use Sandboxie at all if you are going to give sandboxed programs unrestricted access to everything on C: and D:, including the"Windows" folder?

Re: disable the delete dialog box for local templates

Is there a way to disable this delete dialog box ? There's no configuration setting for that, as far as I know. You could Create a sandbox that you will never use and Apply the local templates to that sandbox. Maybe give it a name that will place it, alphabetically, at the bottom of the list of you...

Re: RoboForm 8 Eror

Is the Roboform folder at:
C:\Users\(username)\Documents\My RoboForm Data
which is where Sandboxie's template expects it to be ?

Have you blocked access to the Documents folder for sandboxed programs: Sandbox Settings > Resource Access > File Access > Read-Only Access (or) Write-Only Access ?

Re: Thunderbird folderlocation

What I would suggest is that you create a new empty file named "localstore.rtf" in the Thunderbird profile folder - as long as you are sure that you have the correct folder. It should contain files like prefs.js, extensions.ini, abook.mab, cert8.db After Sandboxie accepts the folder as a valid Thund...

Re: 5.15 Beta Available (latest version 5.16 RC)

5.16 officially released. Thanks to all beta testers! The md5 and SHA1 hashes don't match for the combined 32/64 bit download: SandboxieInstall-516.exe My results are: MD5: f859031c6e9bad55d92bc5b13efd3450 SHA1: 951a33960cfc787cf88f0075956833262ce6a02c SHA1 hashes match for the individual 32 and 64...

Re: Having hard time with Portable Firefox and SB

The link above (to one of my posts) showed a user how to configure portable firefox to use a profile that was in a location specified by that user. Your firefox profile is not likely to be at that same location, so in general: 1) Know the location of the folder that contains your Firefox profile fil...

Re: what is windows live?

Check your services for "Microsoft Account Sign-In Assistant" (Run > services.msc > OK) The service name is wlidsvc "Enables user sign-in through Microsoft account identity services. If this service is stopped, users will not be able to logon to the computer with their Microsoft account." That's the...

Re: 2101, 2102, 2223, 2203

The SB2102 error message you received should list a "path" to the location of the large file(s).

If the "path" listed in the message is:
C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer
then maybe this thread will help:

The MD5 hash on the All versions page, for "All ... SandboxieInstall-512.exe", does not match the downloaded file.
The SHA1 hash does match.

Re: Firefox slow to open with LastPass

Sandboxie's template gives OpenFilePath rights(if that's the correct terminology) to "LastPass " folder when LastPass is actually stored in "support@lastpass.com" folder. That particular folder is located in the Firefox profile folder, underneath an "extensions" sub-folder. That's not the folder th...
