Maybe it's platform dependent, as you say. (I'm using XP and Firefox) If there's a link in the window of one of my tabs, that I want to open in another (existing) tab, I can drag and drop that link onto the other tab, to open the link there. I can drag and drop a link from the address bar onto any o...

It should be easy enough to add this yourself. I don't use Safari, but the bookmarks file is apparently located at: C:\Documents and Settings\(your username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\Safari\Bookmarks.plist assuming Safari is installed on C: drive. You do need to know the executable filename f...

I spoke too soon. Apparently, just getting the "Find Updates" button back again isn't enough. When checking for updates, now I am getting messages for each add-on: "Update not supported (install location is read only)" The above is when using OpenFilePath=firefox.exe,C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox...

I'm just trying out a program that shows what programs are using local or remote ports. System Explorer is probably just one of the programs that can show port numbers. Maybe you are using one, too. On the "Connections" tab, in the "From" column In an entry like localhost:2359, the 2359 is the local...

My "Find Updates" button is now greyed-out again, when Firefox is sandboxed (in all 3 profiles). It's not a great loss for me, since I always install or update extensions when unsandboxed. I do though, use the 'Find Updates' button to check for updates while sandboxed. If I give Direct Access to the...

You can set each sandbox (like DefaultBox) to automatically delete the files after all programs using that sandbox end, or you can do it manually by right-clicking the Sandboxie tray icon and select a sandbox - then choose "Delete Contents".

This thread sounds a lot like a problem I had with the "Find Updates" button being greyed-out when Firefox was running sandboxed. It was happening with all 3 of my Firefox profiles. Don't look for a solution from me, though. I reverted from 3.26 to each of the 3.25.x versions that I had saved, and i...

I use version 9 of the program, and there are at least a dozen drivers installed using the company name: "Sonic Solutions".

Re: Delete doesn't always work

Is it normal for Sandboxie to kill the sandboxed processes when the Delete Contents does work? Are you saying that you are deleting the contents of a sandbox that is still in use - that is, that still has a program using it at the time of deleting contents? Or are you referring to deleting the cont...

To use CCleaner's "Cookies to Keep" and "Cookies to Delete", you must tell Sandboxie to allow IE to store cookies outside of the sandbox. For each sandbox in which IE will run: Sandbox Settings | Resource Access | File Access | Direct Access In the "The list above applies to" put iexplore.exe Click ...

Some programs like to keep a lock on downloads - for example, the Foxit Reader. Some have reported problems after saving a .pdf file that they have viewed with a sandboxed Foxit Reader. The Reader maintains it's lock. There are programs that will tell you what program has the sandbox and file locked...

It seems that Lucky Day is saying that the Sandboxie "Show Window", which is available from the tray icon, is not available from the Start Menu items. It works that way for me, too, if that's what he means: I cannot open Control's "Show Window" from anything on the Start Menu. I'm not saying there's...

OK, I understand. The Browse button is hard-coded to open the My Documents folder - hence the error, and the need to click OK since that path is closed. It then opens the Desktop folder, since it can't open My Documents.

When I click the Browse button, a window opens that says that the My Documents folder cannot be found, and advises me to right click the My Documents icon, then Properties, to check the path to that folder. Of course I get an audible error alert too. I don't know why it's concerned that it can't fin...
