Re: Delete doesn't always work

Is it normal for Sandboxie to kill the sandboxed processes when the Delete Contents does work? Are you saying that you are deleting the contents of a sandbox that is still in use - that is, that still has a program using it at the time of deleting contents? Or are you referring to deleting the cont...

To use CCleaner's "Cookies to Keep" and "Cookies to Delete", you must tell Sandboxie to allow IE to store cookies outside of the sandbox. For each sandbox in which IE will run: Sandbox Settings | Resource Access | File Access | Direct Access In the "The list above applies to" put iexplore.exe Click ...

Some programs like to keep a lock on downloads - for example, the Foxit Reader. Some have reported problems after saving a .pdf file that they have viewed with a sandboxed Foxit Reader. The Reader maintains it's lock. There are programs that will tell you what program has the sandbox and file locked...

It seems that Lucky Day is saying that the Sandboxie "Show Window", which is available from the tray icon, is not available from the Start Menu items. It works that way for me, too, if that's what he means: I cannot open Control's "Show Window" from anything on the Start Menu. I'm not saying there's...

OK, I understand. The Browse button is hard-coded to open the My Documents folder - hence the error, and the need to click OK since that path is closed. It then opens the Desktop folder, since it can't open My Documents.

When I click the Browse button, a window opens that says that the My Documents folder cannot be found, and advises me to right click the My Documents icon, then Properties, to check the path to that folder. Of course I get an audible error alert too. I don't know why it's concerned that it can't fin...

This new version works fine for me, without seeing the temporary border that I saw before. Nice job.

Try it now. The new version does cure the problem, if the browser window opens at the very top of the screen. I did encounter one unexpected result. Until the sandboxed browser window opens, and becomes the default window, I get a temporary border around 2 sides of the "My Computer" Desktop icon, w...

I think it's the "top 0" for the window position that is doing it. If I move my browser window down, below the top of the screen (when not sandboxed), then when running it sandboxed - with an empty sandbox - it seems to show the border OK when it opens. At least for this attempt, anyway. The one Fir...

OpenPipePath=\Device\NamedPipe\lsarpc You may want to try it without that line. I don't have the link to the following information (I saved the text, for future reference, from one of tzuk's FAQ's): "The system-management named pipes lsarpc, srvsvc, wkssvc, samr can be accessed by a sandboxed progr...

Maybe we can sort this out. Here's what I found. When the border around the browser window doesn't show, if I right-click something in the browser window and choose Properties, the border shows around the Properties window. Also, if I use my mouse to move the entire browser window around a little, ...

Actually, I just now found that one of my Firefox profiles and sandbox shows the border. Maybe I can find why the others do not.
