I guess that Sandboxie still needs to have at least one "OpenFilePath=..." line defined for Thunderbird, to avoid that message. See this thread about adding a completely safe line to your sandboxie configuration. The following thread concerned an email program called 'becky', using "b2.exe" as the e...

I think that what you want is possible with a per-sandbox setting. See

Your link needs to be fixed (delete the end comma) - and it's in Kiev Ukraine !
I wouldn't want to chance it, myself, although I got to the password entry window while sandboxed without any problem (with Firefox 3).

Re: Does sandboxie stop a drive-by download?

does sandboxie stop drive-by downloads? As street said. Then the malware would be deleted when you delete the contents of the sandbox. That's why many people setup their Sandbox Settings so that anything they want to save, can be saved by the sandboxed program, and the sandbox contents are then set...

Something else to try: run IE sandboxed, without any of IE's add-ons. On my computer it's Start | Programs | Accessories | System Tools and then right-click on "Internet Explorer (No Add-ons)" | Run Sandboxed Also, make sure your sandbox's contents are deleted first, so that nothing in the sandbox w...

I'm using Win XP and Sandboxie 3.26.10: I downloaded Super DX-Ball 2 installer and then moved the installer file outside of any sandbox folder. Right-clicked the installer file, chose Run Sandboxed, and picked a sandbox with no special settings at all. Accepted all program installer defaults. Did no...

If you use Sandbox Settings | Recovery | Quick Recovery | Add Folder, then browse to and select a folder, it should work - as long as you specify that folder as the storage location whenever you download something. Select a folder (like C:\Downloads), not the root of your hard drive (like C:\). If y...

After shutting down my computer for a few hours, when I tried Thunderbird I had the same problem with thumbs.db being offered for Quick Recovery. After disabling all Thunderbird Add-ons, I was not getting that Quick Recovery prompt. I re-enabled all of the TB extensions one at a time, and I still di...

You did not mention that you restarted the program that creates the Thumbs.db file (probably Windows Explorer) to refresh the configuration already recorded in it. So maybe there's your problem. I'm saying this because I tested it and for me it does work as I described. Well, I'm not sure why it do...

Well, my hopes were high but it didn't work for me. I used Sandboxie's GUI: Sandbox Settings | Recovery | Immediate Recovery | "Add Type" button | db | OK | OK Then Configure | Edit Configuration Changed "AutoRecoverIgnore=.db" to read "AutoRecoverIgnore=thumbs.db" File | Save | File | Exit (even tr...

I don't have a clue as to whether they could actually tell if you are copying/pasting, but... Firefox v2 has a nice ability to save media type items by clicking Tools | Page Info | Media tab You don't do any right-clicking on the page - something that they might disallow with javascript code, if you...
