Re: VLC - Cursor not hiding with Sandboxie 4.02?

I was going to say "yes," but I checked after seeing your post and don't see that Explorer behavior now on XP with Open=* in 4.9.4 (it's sandboxed). I can't remember if I did ever did with v4 or not. I haven't tried yet on Win 7. I remember in 3.74 or so (one of the last) after tzuk made a change to...

Re: Setting Shell folder location.

Shell folder...? Do you mean where the Sandbox folder goes? Sandboxie Control > Sandbox menu > Set Container Folder

I think that corresponds to FileRootPath.

Re: Sudden close of dragon nest in login part using sandboxi

See other topic: http://forums.sandboxie.com/phpBB3/view ... 11&t=18754

So does it not even run one in Sandboxie, or just won't let you run multiple instances?

Re: No DEP on Sandboxie programs?

ASLR is still missing in 4.9.4. :| And what's with the binaries changing size?? More different compiler options? As I said, in 4.9.1 they were down a few K, then "usual" (past) sizes in 4.9.2, and now 4.9.4's are UP about the same amount that they were down in 4.9.1! :? Sandboxie is amazingly small,...

Re: System-wide performance killed

After some more research, mostly for curiosity, I found the exact problem, no doubt! From Google accidentally on MSDN, which obviously tzuk didn't? :P It's still kind of bizarre that Windows acts this way (DoS from exhausted resources anyone?)... So it was a Good Friday after the Sunday stor...

Re: Dragon Nest SEA not working

So this is a game that's now detecting you're running more than one instance? And they patched this "hole" that allowed Sandboxie to work around it? Is that correct? So to get this to work without VM again (in that case they could limit by IP in the future?) you'll need to figure out how to keep the...

Re: System-wide performance killed

OK yeah, looks like I correctly found the problem, and have now confirmed and verified more. 8) Can fairly quickly replicate/reproduce the whole situation. All versions (including 3.76 ) of SandboxieCrypto (from in SbieDll.dll?) are causing kernel memory leaks in exactly the same consistent/constant...

Re: HeapSpray Mitigation in combination with EMET/Firefox/Fl

OK... So let it keep running continuously for a week or two? :) Do you really think the chances are good it's going to happen right away? Of course not, or there'd be many more reports! Maybe it has happened once or twice on my system fairly quickly, otherwise it takes a good while, and there's noth...

Re: System-wide performance killed

WOW, maybe don't need to wait... I think I already found the problem!? I might have spotted it 2 days ago if I was familiar with normal Poolmon/tag stats. After posting yesterday, I was searching about Poolmon, and trying to find anything about caching, looking up some random tags, etc. Anyway, I sa...

Re: HeapSpray Mitigation in combination with EMET/Firefox/Fl

YEP! I first reported this over 18 months ago, and you could say it's been nearly 100% ignored. (Old forums/topics have been removed where most of my posts were.) There have been maybe a couple other mentions/reports besides the one you found, and at least one on Wilders Security forums... I h...

Re: System-wide performance killed

Well, system got powered off by an act of God a couple days ago. :( If this would've happened sooner so I could enable "pool tagging," maybe I'd have seen what was using kernel memory by now... But hopefully within about 6 weeks now when it's up long enough again. (OH wait, I can check other system ...

Re: Memory leak(s), GALORE

Did anyone try to reproduce this, Invincea or otherwise...? (BTW, you don't have to give an e-mail to download ToolTipFixer, just click Download.) And I'm trying to see if I guess I should still run TTF, I don't guess the problem ever got fixed somehow... Still a Sandboxie leak in any case. :) I jus...

Re: Memory leak(s), GALORE

OK, the 2 initial programs I stopped were AutoSizer and 4t Tray Minimizer (I'm wanting to make my own Sandboxie-friendly replacement for both of these...). I started AutoSizer again, and confirmed that it was NOT related to the leak. But like i said, after putting 4t Tray Minimizer on both other sys...

Re: Memory leak(s), GALORE

GOT IT! I stopped the leak quickly yesterday after restarting Sandboxie stuff (and it didn't take a revolutionary new product from Billy Mays , et al. :P). After my off-hand comment yesterday about "GuiProxy and its GUI-proxying related-ish stuff," I was thinking how there's NO way our usage, doing...

Re: System-wide performance killed

Thanks for replying again. :) But UGH, only one...? Oh, not saying not possible, but all issues I've reported have never been caused by "something on my system" (to use tzuk's words), so... To be clear (for me and anyone following), are you now also talking about my other GuiProxy memory leak(s) top...
