Re: Many exe installation files fail to run inside a forced folder

This one is more interesting, as it fails to install no matter which way you run it, even right click sandboxed or copied into the sandbox first https://jaist.dl.sourceforge.net/project/pdfcreator/PDFCreator/PDFCreator%200.9.3/PDFCreator-0_9_3_GPLGhostscript.exe [Window Title] C:\Users\User\AppData\...

Re: Sandboxie\Start.exe wants admin privileges, inconsistent with being launched another way

GoogleChromePortable.exe is needed to launch the subprocess chrome.exe to keeps chrome portable.

If running the chrome.exe directly, then it lose its portability of settings and userdata, to be used on another computer.

Is there a reason UAC is needed depending on the way the process is launched?

Re: Many exe installation files fail to run inside a forced folder

Interesting. Tmp files don't have a file association outside of sandboxie's either. Will this be fixed in the next beta?

Re: Many exe installation files fail to run inside a forced folder

It happens with any file used by leveno updates/drivers. And I've encounter it before but can't recall the other software programs off the top of my head, I think its for software that uses the same type of installer/extractor. My guess would be its with some startup directory not being passed throu...

Re: Is it safe to block access to C:\Sandbox

That´s what i do and u can add this too: ClosedFilePath=C:\Windows\Sandboxie.ini Now sandboxed programs can´t read your Sandboxie configuration. You can block this too: ClosedFilePath=C:\Program Files\Sandboxie\ That's some good ideas to add to a local template that's enabled for all sandboxes. I'm...

Re: Is it safe to block access to C:\Sandbox

Looks like it's not possible to launch applications afterwards. Think this will only work if you block individual sandbox directories, such as if you had 10 sandboxies, you have to add 9 separate CloseFilePaths, and repeat the process individually for the other 9 excluding it's own sandbox each time...

Re: Enhanced internet access restrictions

The IP range you provide is not localhost. If your router is sitting on 192.168.1.1 it can be infected. I agree an option should be provided to make an exception but just for 127.0.0.1.

Alphabetical sorting of Sandboxies in sandboxie.ini config

Upon reload or initialization of the config file, sandboxies are sorted in alphabetical order. This would make it consistent with the order in the GUI, and easier to locate and make changes inside the config file. Enabled by default on a fresh install if the variable isn't initialized by the user, o...

Is it safe to block access to C:\Sandbox

I don't want one sandbox having access to different sandbox's data, would CloseFilePath=C:\Sandbox have any negative implications?

Chrome Memory Leak and CrSharedMem [SOLVED]

For quite some time, not sure exactly how many months or maybe even a year, chrome sandboxed has been leaking memory and will fill up quite a bit of ram and needs a force restart 2-3 times a day. This is the main chrome.exe, not the subprocesses which are just tabs that can be closed/reoponed to reg...
