test47: many thanks, it is a workaround!

Barb, can you try to reproduce by setting the container different from the default?

Re: Windows 10 1803 SBIE1241

Hi Barb, No, there are no special settings. Even tried a new .ini with nothing else other than the default: [GlobalSettings] ByteOrderMark=yes ForceDisableSeconds=10 FileRootPath=E:\Sandbox\%SANDBOX% Template=WindowsRasMan Template=WindowsLive Template=OfficeLicensing Template=OfficeClickToRun [Defa...

Re: 5.13 Beta Available (latest version 5.13.2)

Java installer, e.g. the latest jre-8u91-windows-x64.exe, fails to install on Win10 x64 due to error code 1603. Can't see anything obvious in resource monitor. Version 5.12 works fine.

@Craig@Invincea, glad I am not the only one. Hopefully you can persuade Curt

Option to place "Sandboxie Start Menu" at the bottom right

Sandboxie currently place the "Sandboxie Start Menu" at the top left of screen when "Run From Start Menu" is selected either from the Sandboxie Control Window or the system tray. For better usability with the system tray, it would be nice to have an option to place the start menu at the bottom right...

Clipboard capture in Win10 x64 TH2

Encountered a problem of having to do twice "ctrl+v" or menu+edit+paste for pasting something in sandboxed programs. I am quite sure it is a new one after updating to Win10 TH2 (x64). To reproduce in 5.04/5.06/5.07.01: 1. open notepad in a clean DefaultBox, 2. copy some text in another windows to th...

Re: SBIE2205 trutedinstaller c0190008

Updates such as this should not be installed within a SB. Especially if it needs to write to the "windows" registry. As that cannot happen. If Security updates such as this are needed, they should be installed on your host machine. Craig, thanks for your quick response. However vcredist is not a se...

Re: SBIE2205 trutedinstaller c0190008

It's best to install programs like that on your host, then run them "as sandboxed." I have seen the same error when installing vcredist-2008 (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=26368) inside a sandbox on Win10-x64/SBIE-5.04 without AV. It's reprodicible on a couple of machines ...

Curt, you might be interested to know that it also fixed SBIE2335 for matlab, looks like the issue has a similar cause.

Re: Really dissapointed with post 3.76 releases

Superkyro, I have been using Sandboxie version 4 betas from day one. I always report problems if I find them or try to reproduce problems when an issue gets reported. Users like yourself, ought to do the same. Lets give something back to SBIE. I am not a computer guy, I don't do updates automatical...

Re: Really dissapointed with post 3.76 releases

Bo, Sandboxie has been a great product and we are here in hope it continues to be. I think bug reports and engagement from Invincea are the essential ingredients. It rather misses the point to go on stating how happy you are, because it does not help the one who reports a problem. Your happiness can...

Hi Bo, readers of this forum have benefited enormously over the years from your insights and help. A true guru indeed. wrt to the bugs of version 4 and Invincea's support, however, it seems you have been more generous to the company and dismissive at time to users. In fact your comments above is con...

Re: Really dissapointed with post 3.76 releases

Well, Pete, for some users SB is also for maintaining a registry sanity in the Windows madhouse as well as for extremely convenient software "restore" after OS reinstall. Version 4 has been plagued by hooking issues which make such a usage rather difficult. My point earlier was that one should be op...

Re: Really dissapointed with post 3.76 releases

Peter2150, there is a group of users like RizingPower who have been waiting patiently for version 4 to mature while stuck with now unsupported version 3. This is not a satisfactory situation, increasingly frustrating. Just for you to know, the latest windowsupdate kb3023266 (http://support.microsoft...
