Re: Tor Browser: (How) can I figure out which rules will allow it to work in Sandboxie ?

Hi, Thanks for the reply. I know it's a known issue and Tor is not going to be supported by the Sandboxie team. I'll underline the important bits to fasten reading. What I wished to know is how likely it is that I could fix it *on my own* with sandbox configuration tweaks such as OpenIPCPath, OpenFi...

Re: Tor Browser: (How) can I figure out which rules will allow it to work in Sandboxie ?

Thanks! That does work here too. The downside is that x86 Tor users are a minority crowd, so for better anonymity x64 should be used. Firefox 64 bit is also more tested as it has twice as many users, meaning 32 bit could have accumulated various regressions since Firefox 64 bit became the norm. I no...

Tor Browser: (How) can I figure out which rules will allow it to work in Sandboxie ?

Hi, I've long been using a version of Sandboxie older than 4 on Windows 7 64-bit, but I've finally made the switch and am on 5.28. Both versions of Sandboxie are 64-bit. My issue now is that unlike 3.x, this version does not support Tor Browser and warns that SbieDll.dll has crashed or something. Th...

Incompatibility with the latest version of the OS Microsoft Windows 10 Pro (v.1809) [DUPLICATE]

Hello :) Two weeks ago, when I updating the operating system, I had to remove the Sandboxie, because OS issued a message, that Sandboxie is incompatible with the new version of OS (Microsoft_Windows_10_Pro_x64). I reinstalled the OS, again installed all the programs on the new OS, but it was not pos...

Re: Saving passwords in Firefox v60

Let me clarify once more :) I installed FF on computer (outside of sandboxie). I ran FF sandboxed, therefore profile is created in sandboxie (c:\Sandbox\Username\SandboxieSandbox\user\current\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\..., profiles.ini included). This profile has problems saving passwords (inc...

Re: Saving passwords in Firefox v60

Firefox is installed in os (c:\program files\firefox), but the profile is in sandboxie (c:\Sandbox\Username\SandboxieSandbox\user\current\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\...). I took the sandboxed profile and moved it to c:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\. I created new profile insid...

Re: Saving passwords in Firefox v60

Hello, I tried thelower line with same results, no saving of passwords. OpenFilePath=firefox.exe,%Tmpl.Firefox%\key*.db I now tried your other suggestions. Deleted content (fresh sandbox), edited configuration for that test Sandbox with following line at the end of config for that sandbox OpenFilePa...

Re: 5.25 Beta Available (Latest version 5.25.4)

Thank you for fast reply, but it seems i am doing something wrong as it does not work. I changed below template and enabled "Application -> Web browser -> Firefox -> Allow direct access Firefox to passwords" in the sandbox. [Template_Firefox_Passwords_DirectAccess] Tmpl.Title=#4331,Firefox Tmpl.Clas...

Re: 5.25 Beta Available (Latest version 5.25.4)

When i try to save a password in Sandboxed Firefox it does not save it. If i move same profile out os sandbox to c:\users\username\appdata\roaming\mozilla\firefox\profiles (along with profiles.ini) it saves passwords for sites. Is this a bug or should i try something else?

Re: Sandboxie 5.24 is flagged by one Engine in VirusTotal

You should be using SHA256 or SHA512 for file hash authentication, not SHA1 or MD5. MD5 is extremely weak and can be forged with an investment of about $40K (probably less now as I read that a few years ago). Google warned several years ago that SHA1 is weak as well, and could probably be compromise...

Sandboxie 5.24 is flagged by one Engine in VirusTotal

"Baidu Win32.Trojan.WisdomEyes.16070401.950"

You should probably contact Baidu and get this false positive resolved with them so nothing is flagged.

Re: Sandboxie 5.24 not installed on Windows XP sp3.

A little later I saw on the download page the following: "Download: Sandboxie Installer (for Windows XP SP 3 through Windows 10; 32-bit + 64-bit) (~ 2.5 MB) (md5 / sha1)" and below at the very end of the page is written in small print: "Windows XP is supported up to Sandboxie version 5.22. Any beta ...
