Re: No offer to recover downloaded files

. @bo.elam thanks for response. You also need to add your download folders in Quick recovery, and set Chrome to download to one of the folders you added in Quick recovery. That was the problem. I had moved and restructured my download folder since my last download. When I added the new location, rec...

BTW2: I can see that I downloaded the Revo Uninstaller free trial about half an hour before the Foxit recovery failed.

Maybe I should uninstall Revo Uninstaller, using Uninstall Revo Uninstaller. But I'll wait for comments.

No offer to recover downloaded files [SOLVED]

. I have SB 5.28, with Win 10 Pro 1809. I downloaded the latest "Foxit" within SB. SB did not offer to recover the file. I could see the file within SB using an SB-enabled Win Explorer. I deleted the contents of the SB (there was nothing to delete). I rebooted. I repeated all the steps: - Download F...

Re: Allow direct access to Firefox session management

I've done a google search for "Firefox session management". Here's my summary: After shutdown or crash, allows you to completely restore your browser configuration. Each tab will be in its correct window, and show the correct content. Chrome has the same feature, and a similar SB configuration dialo...

Re: Allow direct access to Firefox session management

.
Yes, that's the correct dialog.

For most of the checkboxes, the link in my OP gives advice on whether or not to check the box.

I'm looking for information on "Allow direct access to Firefox session management", and advice on whether or not to check that box.

Thanks.

Allow direct access to Firefox session management

.
I want to set up Firefox in SB, according to the following advice:

https://www.sandboxie.com/FirefoxTips

The instructions don't give any guidance on the following setting:

- Allow direct access to Firefox session management

I would be grateful for any advice.

Thanks.

Firefox not saving some visited links

. I use SB 5.26 (64-bit) with Win 10 Pro. I normally run any internet-facing prog in SB. So I run Firefox with SB. I'm been doing an online course for a few days. I need visited links to be persistent, so that I know which pages I've visited. But I've noticed that some visited links are not persiste...

Re: Beware of keyloggers while banking within Sandboxie

. Due to the importance of using anti-virus and MalwareBytes, I searched the complete Sandboxie site for any references to "virus" and "malware". Any links that I found are listed below. If anyone notices that I've missed any links, please add them to the thread. Under each link, I've added some imp...

Re: Beware of keyloggers while banking within Sandboxie

. With SBIE, in a clean computer [my italics], thats all you got to do to protect yourself against keylogger. Bo Having a clean computer before I start is obviously practical - but impracticable. MalwareBytes takes 1 hour, Windows Defender takes 3 hours. So the combined time is just over 3 hours. Qu...

Beware of keyloggers while banking within Sandboxie

This post refers to another post in this forum, relating to Sophos: https://bit.ly/2jQV1SD I searched the entire Sophos site for any item referring to Sophos and the future of Sandboxie. I wasn't able to find anything. However, I found a useful tip in this link: https://community.sophos.com/products...

Re: Always ask for sandboxie run when opening .exe files

Hi Derivates, If I combine the contents of your first post with the contents of your second post, I think I now understand how you're using SB. - You download an EXE file from the internet outside SB. - You are concerned that the EXE file might contain malware. - So, for safety, you want to install ...

Evernote- Some program icons have no "Run Sandboxed" in context menu [SOLVED]

As mentioned in another post, I've been experimenting with running Evernote sandboxed. To avoid balls of spaghetti, I deliberately did not mention that the Evernote icon on my desktop does not contain the shell context menu option "Run Sandboxed". Every other desktop program icon - with the exceptio...

Re: Always ask for sandboxie run when opening .exe files

. If you open your program from an icon, I think you can edit the icon's Properties. For example, to run Notepad in SB, place a Notepad icon on the desktop. Then change the current Target in the icon Properties to: "C:\Program Files\Sandboxie\Start.exe" %windir%\system32\notepad.exe Maybe you could ...
