Re: Cannot run any executables inside sandbox after Windows 10 October Update 1809

FWIW, I went back to 1803. I went back, not because Sandboxie not working well but because 1809 felt very messy. In fact, all I do sandboxed in a regular basis worked fine in 1809, except installing programs in the sandbox. For me personally, that was no reason to go back. Performance in general fel...

Re: Firefox Bookmarks Lost by Sandboxie

Whenever I run Firefox in the sandbox, folders for Firefox in Local and Roaming are immediately created in the sandbox folder. And they always go away when the sandbox gets deleted. When I first open Firefox, there are only a few files within the Roaming and Local folder but as time passes and I do ...

I just want to report that 5.27.1 is working well in my W7 and W10 computers. All programs I run, are running well under Sandboxie.

Re: A big problem with SB and Firefox 62.0

Although the security benefits sound significant, they appear important primarily to those not running Firefox under Sandboxie. Correct? Thats how I see it. BTW I also noticed that "security.sandbox.content.tempDirSuffix" has been modified on my Windows 7 SP1 installation (I don't remember doing it...

Re: A big problem with SB and Firefox 62.0

You wrote that when I set "browser.tabs.remote.autostart" to false I am disabling Multiprocess in Firefox --> what is "multiprocess"? What is it doing for me? What am I missing now it's disabled?? Multiprocess is sandboxing in Firefox. In my personal view, if you are using Sandboxie, you are not mi...

Re: A big problem with SB and Firefox 62.0

I use Firefox with the default "Sandboxed Web Browser" shortcut, so it's running in the default box, which is set to delete contents automatically on closing Firefox. Is that not sufficient? The recommendation is for users who dont set the sandbox to delete automatically on closing of the browser. ...

Re: Contradictory Licensing Information

Do I buy, or do I not buy? I think my answer would always be "not buy". You dont buy, everyone loses. You lose because you wont be moving to Sandboxie paid, the real thing. Sandboxies free version allow you to do just a tiny bit of what you can do with the paid version. With the paid version, Sandb...

Re: A big problem with SB and Firefox 62.0

When I read that perhaps one cause of the problem could be that the sandbox is not deleted after closing FF I posted that I delete by default. BUT: I also had the pingsender.exe problem (different thread). Sandboxie regularly told me that pingsender.exe was active/couldn't be killed (?) when I clos...

Re: Contradictory Licensing Information

Those two pieces of information seem to contradict each other. So which is it? One year or life-time? Radish, what that means is that during the one year duration of the license, you can update to any new version of Sandboxie that is released during this period of time. Also what happened to the li...

Re: A big problem with SB and Firefox 62.0

I updated to Firefox 62 a few hours ago, all seems well. I disable Multiprocess in Firefox but tested Multiprrocess after updating, it appears to be working great with Sandboxie. I tested in W10 1803 64 bits. You guys with the issue, deleting the sandbox is a must after updating the browser, if you ...

Re: The adobe flash player test page doesn't work

Does flash player work for anyone in firefox or chrome? When I go to the adobe flash about page it doesn't show the full graphic, if it even shows it at all. I'm using flash 30.0.0.154 and the latest browsers in Sandboxie 5.26 The test site works fine for me when running Firefox sandboxed. I dont u...

Re: Firefox not saving some visited links

Hi OldGrantonian, try saving bookmarks the easy way.

In Sandbox settings>Applications>Web Browser>Firefox, Tick "Allow direct access to Firefox bookmark and history database"

That should do it. Theres no reason for you to try saving bookmarks in another way. :)

Re: Chrome crashed when I enable the "Drop rights" option

It's working fine if I disable the "Drop Rights..." options. No chrome plugins installed, Also no need to clear the sandbox. Hi asbai. I dont know what you mean when you say no need to clear the sandbox. But you should try, 1. Deleting contents and 2. Create and test using a new sandbox. But regard...

Re: Opening "This PC" in any explorer dialog causes freeze

predprey, I know the loading of sandboxed explorer in my W7 is not as slow as in W10, its inmediate. But either way, in my case, I dont consider the slow loading of sandboxed File explorer in W10 as a problem as I dont experience freezes or delays other than the loading that takes a few seconds. You...
