Re: 5.23 Beta Available

I'm still getting Smart Screen errors, what am I doing wrong :-( Hi Billie. The problem you are having is caused by references to Smart screen in your Sandboxie config file. This were added during beta 5.21. To fix the problem, you need to either delete this references to Smart screen, so the sandb...

Re: Video Keeps Buffering Sandboxed

Video keeps buffering when i'm watching something like Xvideos. This only this only happens when Sandboxed and i'm using Firefox 57 (Firefox Quantum) 64 Bit on Windows 8.1 Pro 64 Bit and Sandboxie 5.22 64 bit. No buffering not Sandboxed. You can try to workaround your issue by changing Sandbox cont...

Since Chrome works without sbie doesn't that mean anti-virus is not at play here with sbie Chrome?
No, it doesnt. What it means is that once you add Sandboxie in the mix, there is a conflict. So, you need to workaround the issue (if possible), or choose another AV or drop Sandboxie.

Re: sandboxie + firefox 57 = freeze Windows 10

3) close firefox 4) and almost immediately open it again . Look like issue happens if to reopen firefox in moment when it still not finished cleanup. Hi, I cant reproduce your issue but you really want to allow the sandbox to delete or at least programs to be terminated before opening a new instanc...

Again, unless I am misunderstanding your point, the sandbox was deleted.
According to what you described, the sandbox did get deleted.

Re: Norton detects malware in sandbox hours after I cleared it

Perhaps the sandbox was not deleted and you thought it was. (icon solid yellow) means no programs are running in the sandbox. A red X means the sandbox is deleted. Did you see a red X when you closed the browser? Also. I think is possible when your AV flags something, as you close the sandboxed prog...

Re: Firefox 57 Crashes Immediately When Run inside Sandboxie

So it sounds like it must be something with my configuration then. I only use the built in Windows Defender antivirus (nothing 3rd party). Also, the new Firefox profile I created didn't have any addons since it was a fresh profile. Are you just using the default Sandboxie settings? Or have you twea...

Re: Firefox 57 Crashes Immediately When Run inside Sandboxie

Hi Peter, I dont know, maybe your antivirus is causing the issue or an addon you are using is conflicting. But I can tell you, I tested Firefox 57 and 58 a few times this past few weeks in W10 1709 64 bits, and every time the browser worked very well with Sandboxie. Earlier today I tested 57 and all...

Re: Sandboxie Settings Question

So how is it that the bookmarks are saved if I did not use recover for them in sandboxie? Is this normal and if it is not normal can this be happening with other files? The bookmarks are being saved out of the sandbox because you are allowing access to bookmarks or the Firefox profile in Sandbox se...

Re: Norton 360 - Unable to launch web browsers

I've been using Norton for years on all my computers along with Sandboxie and have always been able to get them to work together. Sometimes it takes a little tweaking but it's always worked out. See, thats the thing. I am not into constantly tweaking or doing workarounds for programs to work flawle...

Re: Norton 360 - Unable to launch web browsers

Everyone here at Sandboxie support is saying this has been a long time issue? Suggesting to uninstall Norton or SEP in not a solution. Very disappointing! Hi Exile, I tell you, the bottom line is that today, the problem is being caused by enabling Generic Exploit Mitigation, yesterday it was the br...

Re: Problem with win 10 and Fox News.com

I can just click it and get rid of it but it keep coming back when I change stories, and since it is in the middle of my screen it is very annoying to me. How can I get rid of it? You can Hide it as Barb suggested. I used to hide one of those 2203 messages for a video player in my old XP, it worked...

Re: Sandboxie Settings Question

Grenpara, malware doesn't get out of the sandbox unless you recover it. You could restrict the sandbox but either way, using a restricted sandbox or a default settings sandbox, malware doesn't get out.You have to do it yourself. Perhaps you ran an installer unsandboxed that came with malware.
