Re: What happens after a power off to delete content

Nothing gets out when computer powers off, contents remain inside the sandbox. After reboot, you can manually delete contents.

Re: New sandbox pulls in tabs from non sandboxed browser

I like sandboxie but what infuriates me is that when I create a new sandbox and fire up chrome all open tabs in the non sandboxed browser are now imported, even though the non sandboxed browser is not running. I just can't find a way to start with a clean browser with just one open tab. I dont use ...

Re: Installing Java inside the sandbox

Hi pipppero2007, I also tested installing Java in a sandbox, tested successfully in W10 1703 15063.608. I have no use for Java at all but have installed it sandboxed a few times over the years for testing purposes, it has never failed to install. This is the link I used to download the installer. ht...

Re: Quick question about sandboxie license

So even though mine is not a legacy license and it is for one computer only, can I still use it on a second PC? Of course I need to deactivate it first from actual PC so that I can transfer it right to prevent multiple activations? You are welcome, Jhen. You should be fine activating the license in...

Re: Quick question about sandboxie license

1. My question is if that license was purchased with version 5.18 of sandboxie, will that license work with lower versions aswell like for example version 5.10 or just 5.18 and above? 2. I'm using version 5.20 now, how do I clear my license in order to transfer it to another PC? 3. I've read somewh...

Re: Is sandboxie compatible with comodo now

Read this thread, search for Comodo. There are 3 or 4 posts there that give you clues on how to make both programs work along each other. Dont enable Comodos sandbox.

Re: confused...

I'd read the FAQ,, I don't understand all I'm reading. Thats OK. Some its going to stick, that's what matters. Eventually all about Sandboxie is going to make sense. When I first started using Sandboxie, all I wanted to know on day 1 was how to delete the sandbox, how to save bookmarks and download...

Re: confused...

I've been though "getting started" but am still confused, soz. If I run Firefox in the sandbox, download a .exe ( raw picture file converter), it won't be able to access files outside the sandbox, right? So how can it work? How will I know if it HAS accessed, maybe written, stuff outside the sandbo...

Re: Setting a different directory

Hi John, I can navigate to the Programs folder but I am using an Administrator account. I guess you cant see the path to Programs folder when you click Add because you are using a User account. Try adding the path to the file in Programs folder by clicking Add/Edit instead of Add. That should work. Bo

Re: Launch from Start menu issue

I thought you were talking about programs you installed in a sandbox, that you couldn't see them in Sandboxie Start menu. Now I understand what you mean. I think one reason that could explain Sandboxie seeing the wrong path would be if you copied the SBIE ini from another computer and you are using ...

Re: Adobe Acrobat Read DC Crashes in Sandboxie

Any more thoughts on what might be going on here? I'm willing to troubleshoot Kaspersky if you think that's somehow the issue. Or is there something else we can try? Yes, it could be the interaction with Kaspersky. Kaspersky and Sandboxie have a bad record working together. Click the links posted e...

Re: Launch from Start menu issue

I do: Right click Virtual Area > Launch from Start > Programs Instead of having a complete list of my installed software (I have many, Firefox, Thunderbird, VLC, etc.), Sandboxie shows only a very short list of some Microsoft Windows 10 tools, but NO ONE of my really installed software. Maybe Sandb...

Re: Adobe Acrobat Read DC Crashes in Sandboxie

Also, since Bo said the -- was normal and a global setting for Acrobat, I assume you don't want me disabling that in the compatibility menu as you mentioned? No, you should (as Barb said), disable it for testing purposes. The reason for testing the behaviour without the setting being enabled is bec...
