Re: Sandboxes 666 and above

OK; your post got me to log in to SBIE (and I forgot my password so had to get that process taken care of; lol). 666 sandboxes? Really? lololol Smells like you might be running some type of denial of service situation. lol I have 5 but for all practical reasons, I only use 4 of them. I've never hear...

Re: Beware of keyloggers while banking within Sandboxie

That's why I have a SB session dedicated just for banking; don't do anything else withing that session. Still, keyloggers is a concern, so I run SBIE in a virtual machine and recover the VM often to mitigate keyloggers. In essence, I'm double-sandboxed. :)

Re: Sandboxie 5.24 not installed on Windows XP sp3.

Saddened I am, but I do understand. Was going to start a thread but saw this one and it confirmed my suspicion. Hopefully there won't be any security updates that won't get patched in the future. Regardless, 5.22 works great with my XP VM. I suppose I need to install it in my Win10 OS, but I still a...

Re: Ssandboxie for Linux?

Thanks for the reply and links, Barbara. Looks like you even found the thread that I started a while back. lol Oh well; will milk WinXP for as long as I can before I decide to finally bite the bullet and install Sandboxie in Win10 (never use Win10 for browsing except where I have no choice for a few...

Ssandboxie for Linux?

I believe I asked this many years ago, but thought, what the heck; why not try again. Or, has anyone been able to get SBIE to work via WINE? :)

The new NSA exploits.

I visit here often enough but haven't posted in a while. Not sure if any one here's tested against the new NSA exploits. An individual in England thwarted the first attack that used 2 NSA exploits (wannacry), but the latest uses 7 exploits (eternalrocks). Just curious; didn't see any threads concern...

Re: Is anyone else having issues trying to check for updates

Thanks for the info, but it must have been some weird situation with my ISP; able to check for updates now. Sorry for tooting an alarm.

Is anyone else having issues trying to check for updates?SVD

Tried flushing DNS and trying different DNS servers but get an error when checking for SBIE updates. Hope it isn't me. I'm using WinXP for what it's worth (as a sandbox within a Win10 Host). :)

Re: Microsoft Edge support please

As I understand it, all apps (note I said app and not program) are, by their very nature, like virtual machines within the OS and Edge, I believe, is an app so it should be by default the equivalent of being sandboxed. Of course I could be wrong. :)

Re: Alternative sandbox program for Tor - suggestions.

May not be an acceptable alternative, but you could just use Sandboxie and a VM and the VM could be your sandbox. Since it takes seconds to recover from a golden set point, it's at least a viable solution to address TOR compatibility issues. :)

I like WIndows Secret's website format. Iron browser website uses a similar type of overlay.

Re: Has anyone tried to run SB in ReactOS?

That means the WINE developers are looking into this then. Interesting. I've been using SBIE for years now; pretty much the only defense I depend on for my Sandbox now, Craig (use privoxy, and a few other things too, but no anti-virus program). Only thing I worry about are keyloggers, but I mitigate...
