Re: ¿Program being able to access a "Blocked Access" HDD?

This application is not going through the Windows file system API's. They are using low-level direct disk access. You can block this by adding the following line to your sandboxie.ini. I am not sure what other side-effects this may cause, so please give it a try and let us know. ClosedFilePath=\Devi...

Re: Cannot run any executables inside sandbox after Windows 10 October Update 1809

ROFL, no sir, build as finalized way before they are released, and MS gives developers many ways to get their (censored) in order before major releases like this, such as AV vendors. It's clear Sandboxie dev's don't start looking into matters like this until it's too late. You have no idea what you...

Re: Firefox Bookmarks Lost by Sandboxie

When I delete my sandbox contents, and start FF, I see no AppData\Roaming\Mozilla folder in my sandbox at all.

AppData\Local\Mozilla exists, but not roaming.

Re: Program installed in a sandbox is executed outside the sandbox.

The reason these apps install correctly is because you are running the installers in the sandbox. The issue you are reporting occurs when you run apps in the sandbox from the host . This is not the proper way to start apps. Normally, you should avoid messing directly with the Sandbox folder from the...

Re: Program installed in a sandbox is executed outside the sandbox.

Ok, there is a quirk here. If your start a sandboxed app from the host, it will start the app in the sandbox IF the sandbox is under the current user name. E.g. if I am logged in as user Master, and I start the following app from the host, it will be sandboxed: C:\Sandbox\Master\DefaultBox\drive\C\P...

Re: Sandboxed program username is sometimes mine instead of ANONYMOUS LOGON

This is a race condition in ProcExp. If it catches a process start before Sbie has changed it to anonymous logon, it will show the original user logon. ProcExp does not anticipate the user that started the process will ever change, so it never checks it again. It is not a bug. I believe if you resta...

Re: Program installed in a sandbox is executed outside the sandbox.

I downloaded the app and installed in the sandbox as you describe. When I dbl-click GamingMouse.exe in the sandbox in Windows Explorer, I get an error popup because I don't have the mouse. But GamingMouse.exe is running in the sandbox as shown.

Re: In the sandbox, IE cannot open the gmail page

This is happening because there is a MS folder that is created when a new user 1st runs IE and chooses the recommended settings. The folder is %UserProfile%\AppData\LocalLow\Microsoft\Crypto\TokenBindingKeys. If this folder does not exist, the sandboxed IE is not able to create it in the host, and W...

Re: Program only read one Folder

In Sandboxie, you can block any folder you want. But all applications are going to have to have read access to c:\windows (among other folders) to load Windows files in order to run. You need to keep your sensitive files in once place and block that in Sandboxie.
