Re: 5.27 Beta Available USE THIS FOR WINDOWS 10 1809 [Latest version 5.27.2]

Thanks. But I am still not clear if we are still required to uninstall SBIE after updating to 5.27.2, do we still need to uninstall 5.27.2 before upgrading Windows 10 to 1809? Barb, can you tell me. Bo I'd recommend to uninstall before upgrading Windows to 1809. Uninstall takes just the blink of an...

Re: ¿Program being able to access a "Blocked Access" HDD?

All sounds good and nice advice but so far no one has told me how to wildcard these lines: ClosedFilePath=D:\ ClosedFilePath=Q:\ ClosedFilePath=\Device\Harddisk0\DR0 ClosedFilePath=T:\ ClosedFilePath=\Device\Harddisk2\DR2 ClosedFilePath=P:\ ClosedFilePath=\Device\Harddisk1\DR1 Those above work as in...

What does mean that DR0?
I wonder same thing. I logged in just to ask the same question.

@curt I tried the wildcard feature but I couldn't figure it out.

Re: ¿Program being able to access a "Blocked Access" HDD?

After trial and error, especially with lines syntax, I managed to block low level access to the desired drives/partitions. Disk Management: https://i.imgur.com/QpXoCPX.png Lines added to ini file: ClosedFilePath=D:\ ClosedFilePath=Q:\ ClosedFilePath=\Device\Harddisk0\DR0 ClosedFilePath=T:\ ClosedFil...

ClosedFilePath=\Device\Harddisk0\DR0
Didn't work out Curt. This program is still accessing the harddisk.
I put such line in the respective sandbox.

Re: Cannot run any executables inside sandbox after Windows 10 October Update 1809

I must say this is really unacceptable, it's not like 1809 hasn't been around for months in fast/slow rings, etc. you should have all this crap worked out and ready for users for when 1809 was out, Oct 2. Your demands are unacceptable I must say. What do you know about last minute changes in some k...

Re: chrome bookmarks

Hello, If you sign in to your Google account then there's a great chance synchronization is on. Many settings not just bookmarks are synced and this could be the cause of your "issue" (actually a Google's feature). Actually I use this feature. I don't like to save bookmarks locally I rather save the...

Re: No access to network computers

Yes it worked with my other computers, two more apart.

I think, unless I can't see any reasonable reason why not (lol), Curt should make Sbie or sbie's installer to parse the current sandboxie.ini file and delete any deprecated lines which could lead to issues like mine or any other potential one.

Re: No access to network computers

@APMichael

Now that I removed the entry "ClosedFilePath=\Device\Mup\", the issue has gone.
I'm posting this without testing thoroughly among computers though.
Hope it stays fixed.

Thanks.

Re: No access to network computers

Tried a different approach by unhiding some msgs. One of them is this: SbieCtrl_HideMessage=2214,bits After 30 min. running sandboxed Word 2016, not immediately, a msgbox popped up with this: SBIE2214 Request to start service 'bits' was denied due to dropped rights SBIE2214 Request to start service ...

... Sandboxie.ini (Office sandbox only): ...
The entry "ClosedFilePath=\Device\Mup\" blocks network shares. But you wrote that a new sandbox doesn't work also, that's strange!
Didn't know "ClosedFilePath=\Device\Mup\" blocks network shares. Thanks for the info.
