Intercept a process that loads a dll?

Hello! A few weeks ago I found out about Redshell and BuffPanel scandals. They are spywares that have been being installed by game publishers when their games are run, and they silently grab user behaviors data and send to their servers for marketing purposes. Many times it's done without warning th...

Re: Steam VR apps are being placed on sandbox

Hello! Sorry for not coming back and tnx for the help. My current guess is that some sandboxed process, maybe FireFox, is somehow launching Steam VR. Steam client isn't sandboxed. Anyway, soon I'll reinstall Windows, so I'm waiting for that to continue investigating this issue. If it continues happe...

Steam VR apps are being placed on sandbox

Some Steam VR apps like vrmonitor.exe and vrwebhelper.exe are being grabbed by one of my sandboxes, always the same one. IDK what's making this happen. There's no setting about them on any of my sandboxes. This one runs FireFox and MPC and a few less common apps. No game is played on it. My guess is...

Re: Sandbox template?

Thanks a lot. The idea is indeed to isolate apps, to the point they aren't even installed on host, and are unable to make any change outside the sandbox they are concealed. Of course this requires the sandbox to be permanent and not be deleted. I've been using a sandbox inside RAMDRIVE for some mont...

Re: Sandbox template?

Hello, I have its licence and use multiple sandboxes all the time :) I'll try to explain again, sorry for my bad english. I have a sandbox on the RAMDRIVE that is deleted every time I reboot. It's already accomplished. In example, I have a FireFox profile that's run on this sandbox, its shortcut exe...

Sandbox template?

Hello friends. Currently I have one of my sandboxes configured to go inside a RAMDRIVE, provided by SoftPerfect RAM Disk. I configured it to have a 4GB RAMDRIVE on my A:, and Sandboxie to place this sandbox on A:\Sandboxie\%SANDBOX%\ This config allows me to send some apps files to RAMDRIVE and make...

Re: Sandboxed FireFox can't save on EncFS drive

I got an answer from EncFSMP dev. Hi I assume the problem lies with PFM, the file system component of EncFSMP. The mounted folder does not exactly behave like a local drive, maybe this is the reason of the error. I suggest not to use a EncFSMP mounted drive directly from SandboxIE. In the next versi...

Sandboxed FireFox can't save on EncFS drive[SOLVED]

hey guys. I have FireFox running over Sandboxie. Recently I replaced my Dropbox encryption solution from BoxCryptor to EncFSMP. I had no problem with FireFox saving files inside BoxCryptor's drive. Sandboxie reported the save attempt and I ordered to move from sandbox folder to that drive. Now with ...

Re: Firefox Tab issue - No Text displayed in Tabs (Win10)

wow tnx!!

I was having this issue and didn't know it was caused by Sandboxie. I did the browser.display.use_system_colors trick and seems to be working now.

Civilization 5

I'm gonna start trying to sandbox some steam games. I know they have a history of issues, but still I'll try before giving up. The main reason for it is that I've been seeing that each game saves its files in different places, and I'm afraid of losing gap of where these saves are going and end up de...

Re: With Sandboxie why even bother with Windows Updates ?

router/gateway isn't a good firewall for ages. In the past. But being behind a NAT does no good for outgoing connections. Any keylogger will still be able to connect to its server and send your data. Also, with uPNP, I fear some unwanted servers being able to ask NAT server to redirect ports to it. ...

Re: With Sandboxie why even bother with Windows Updates ?

Yes, but I'm lazy. It's already been 2 weeks since last restore, I have a few apps installed and a few I regreted installing. b4a isn't making backups as scheduled, I'm having to do it manually. And their support replied me saying it wasn't designed to backup apps configs... I'm using it because I b...

Re: A really secure file encryption solution

I was reading Cryptomator's support forum and found ppl talking about other solutions! There's eCryptFS, GoCryptFS, and my chosen one EncFS! Surprisingly, BoxCryptor was all this time using EncFS as its backend! They took a FOSS and stripped its features (encrypt file names) and released as their ow...

Re: A really secure file encryption solution

Thanks for the tip. AxCrypt is a bit close to what I look, but it's too manual and troubling that makes it not worth the trouble. I'd need to encrypt each file separately... and when decrypting what it does (seems to do) is just decrypt the file, execute it and keep track of changes to encrypt back....
